About the CD
"Stranger In This Town", Kevin Stonerock's largely acoustic based third solo release, is a return to his singer/songwriter roots after spending several years writing, performing and pitching songs in Nashville. Kevin's influences are evident on this honest, finely tuned, yet not over-produced set. From the poignant "You Don't Have To Earn My Love" to the in-your-face "It's Up To You" to the sweetly nostalgic "I Can't Remember Why", Stonerock has produced an album of depth, maturity and just plain good music.
About the Artist
Indiana born singer/songwriter Kevin Stonerock has been writing and performing since the mid 1970's. He has shared the performance stage with artists such as Marshall Chapman, The Dixie Dregs, Mark O'Connor, Caroline Peyton and The Wright Brothers. Kevin's style, difficult to pigeon hole, blends elements of folk, rock and country. His early influences were the singer/songwriters and folk and country rock artists of the late 60's and early 70's such as Gordon Lightfoot, Neil Young, Dan Fogelberg, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco and others. He keeps getting better and better!

This is a "must have" CD if you are a Kevin Stonerock fan or even if you aren't, you ought to be! "You Don't Have To Earn My Love" has always been one of my favorite KS songs! What a great melody and the lyrics are pure and powerful. This album is full of reminders of the simpler more innocent days when life wasn't so hurried and complicated. It takes me back to a wonderful childhood which I can always visit just by closing my eyes and listening to these great nostalgic songs...
