PATRICK STOREDAHL: Ink Block Fingerprint
Ink Block Fingerprint is the first solo CD from Patrick Storedahl a multi-instrumentalist from Olympia, WA. He writes and arranges songs, sings, plays guitar and keyboards, along with other things with the band Just Plain Bill. He also plays guitar in the Olympia surf/space/rock instrumental band named Clavilux.
Ink Block Fingerprint contains pop rock songs with hints of alt. country, folk, and weirdness; and sprinkled with influences such as The Kinks, Wilco, The Beatles, The Flaming Lips, Warren Zevon, and Beck.
Patrick played most of the instruments and sang most of the vocals; however, a few friends played some drums, some guitars, and sang a bit. The song Shakin' was chosen to be included on Olympia's "Oly Rocks" CD.

Quirky pop with hooks galore and original vocals
author: Dusty Diablo
The catchy hooks in songs like Someday Lonely and Runaround are what drew me in but the uniqueness of Patrick's vocal style are what sets this CD apart from most of the pop wanna-be's that sound either too Beatle-ish or lack his passion. Flaming Lips references aren't far off but there's much more emotion involved here, especially lyrically. Love that Harrison-esqe slide solo in Someday Lonely too!

Head nodding, foot tapping

Head nodding, foot tapping music. Ink Block Fingerprint is full of solid tunes and clever lyrics. I was going to list my favorites - but turns out, it's pretty much the whole CD! You'll want to listen to this CD again, and again, and . . .

author: Tony
Good stuff, with some cool psych touches taking it away from standard singer-songwriter fare.
