Album Notes

StormCrow's debut CD "Consuming the Night" spans a variety of styles within the four-member group's alternative power-rock sound. From the opening wail and explosive chords of the lead song "Withered Soul" to the closing acoustic ballad "Peace of Mind", StormCrow takes the listener through a set of melodic hooks and thought-provoking lyrics. The journey includes the hard-driving rhythm and heavy riffs of "Visions", the pounding tribal sound of "Mud Man", and the ethereal feel of "Morning Haze". Throughout the album, songwriter Rob Leeds' lyrics convey a certain dark optimism on his self-reflective voyage through life.

StormCrow was formed in 2000 in Valdosta, Georgia, later relocating to Albuquerque where they began playing the local scene in March 2004. The self-produced, self-released album was recorded in November-December 2004 by Scream Along Songs at Sanctuary Sound Studios in Albuquerque.
