This is the amazing debut EP from The Story of Everest. The songs here are beautiful, heartbreaking, experimental, and raw. The lo-fi recording style adds intimacy, texture and spontaneity to these 7 tracks. Some of the tracks on Consuelo are precursors to songs which appear on the follow up full-length record Pigeon Spree. "North Line" which appears here in it's striking first rendition was later re-arranged and re-recorded for Spree, and "Party Time for the Bad Guy", a percussive psych-folk experiment in sound which would give Phil Spector chills, is the sister song to Spree's "Party Time for the Good Guy". This EP is currently available only as a digital download and is well worth it!
