Storyville Rocks music that moves you, music that you can feel, music that makes you pick up your guitar, music is different for everybody for me its about feel, passion, emotions, Storyville has it. I know they all have their own projects, but I hope they bring Storyville to San Diego.

Storyville Live at Antones

As a long time Double Trouble fan, I was really interested in hearing the first Storyville CD. I had a buddy pick it up for me in the US, as I wasn’t able to find it in my area in Canada. The tunes on the cd weren’t familiar to me, but I figured, hey, if Shannon and Layton are on it, it has to be great. All I could say was WOW, WOW, WOW! Who was this guy singing? Fabulous.
Two years ago, Malford Milligan played at the Great Woods Music Festival in Beausejour, Manitoba. The power went out during his set but he proceeded to sing acapella for the amazed crowd. I couldn't go, bummer, but again had my buddy get me Malford’s cd and he had it signed. Tip - Buy Malford’s solo cd as well.
As I’ve never been able to catch any of these guys live, a Storyville live cd/dvd set – Fabulous! Dave Grissom is inspiring, Dave Holt is also great. And Double Trouble – well, if you need to be told, go to The PINK website. Youch. The DVD is a little low on the production end but hey, this is Texas Blues rock in a bar setting and it doesn’t get any better. Add this to your collection, you won't be disappointed. I also have the David Holt cd which also really really good.
