Just in time for the holidays, Stovall reinterprets Chrissie Hynde's holiday classic "2000 Miles." Known for their twang, the Atlanta sextet explores new music directions on their cover of the Pretenders song.
While incorporating elements of noise, backwards loops, and a wash of plenty of reverb, Stovall strips down the instrumentation of the original to emphasize the heartache in the lyrics of the song. Originally found on the "All Creatures Great and Small" charity CD, which benefited Atlanta animal charities, the song has been remastered for re-release in 2011.
