Album Notes

We are a seasoned group of musicians who engage in an eclectic style of folk oriented rock. Although rooted in the 60's and 70's, we have evolved into a new sound, which explains why we keep being nominated and have won for "best none of the above' at the local music awards. This year we won Album of the Year for our first album, Paths and Patterns. Our new album, To The Aid of the Nation is motivated by need for change in our government. As Theodore Roosevelt said "patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any other public official...It is unpatriotic not to oppose him to the exact extent that by inefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country" One of the most beautiful and powerful peace anthems on our CD states: "some say I am a fool, there will be wars forever more. But I'd rather be a fool for peace than resign my child to war".

There are historical songs about the civil war, coal company land grabs, a lampoon of Southern fundamentalism, a call to celebrate and protect the environment and the song about some of our off kilter mentors, "Strange Heroes". Rock the vote!!!

Will Rogers wit and some damn fine music. This one is a keeper.

"Unbuckle that Bible Belt" is a satiric classic suitable for the top 50. The songs run the gamut….Rock, Country, rebellious protest…..and for balance a bit of romance. There is enough lyrical brilliance to keep you interested in what they are saying but still enjoy the music. Buy this one!
