ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In 2002, after his seven year stint with 7th House (Blackbird/Atlantic), guitarist Walter Ino decided to move back to Pittsburgh to hone his skills as a songwriter and vocalist. Finding inspiration from his life on the road and the relationships that came and went, the songs seemed to flow out. From there he knew he needed a band. He quickly stumbled upon the mad drumming skills of Ray Vaughn who quickly understood the concept of the songs. Their partnership and understanding of each other grew rapidly and soon after, their brains and their ears almost worked as one. Soon, gigs and recording sessions started happening, resulting in the release of "Turn It On", the self-produced, 12 song debut CD in 2003. Joining forces with Zig Daniels, who's bass and backing vocal skills fill the soundscape and, Dave Lewetag, who’s guitar texture completes the chemistry of the sound, they've played the region constantly, sharing stages with the likes of Fishbone, the Exies, Flickerstick, Social Burn, The Clarks, King's X, Blue October, Michael Glabicki, and Mike Campbell’s band, The Dirty Knobs.

Strangeway just won the Hard Rock Café/105.9 FM “winter X showcase” Battle of the bands, being voted best band out of over 130 bands from Western PA. They are currently touring to support their long awaited self-produced sophomore release, titled "My Best Friend", consisting of 12 new songs. This tour also includes showcases in New York City and Los Angeles.

Mix high energy, hooks, and harmony, then add honesty... you'll experience rock-n-roll the STRANGEWAY.

Sean Lynch

would recommend despite back cover goof
The music on this album is great and I would recommend it.

However there is a mistake regarding the track listing on the back. Some songs are listed in a different order than when they play. For instance the track "My Best Friend" listed on the back cover as track 4, but is track 5. Another, "Sometimes I Curse" is listed as track 8, but is track 6.

However I have not penalized the album for that in the star rating because I just focus on how the music sounds.
