Album Notes

Strathmannan has played Scottish music in the Australian Capital Territory Region over many years at Dances, Folk Festivals and Gatherings. The large and rich repertoire of Scottish Fiddle music from traditional and contemprary sources is the inspiration for the tune sets, representing some of the bands favourite dance and slower listening pieces.
Kate Scott and Mark Jenner play the Fiddles backed by Jane Ellis on Piano and Peter Bucke on Bass. Guest artists include Martin Barker on Cello, Colin McJannett on Banjo, Jonathon Jones on drums and Tony Hunter on Mandolin.
The album also features some very special tunes written by Mark Jenner. Track number four, "Compliments" was written by Mark in recognition of the 50th Birthday of the Monaro Caledonian Society. This Society was formed in the Small town of Cooma, just south of the the Capital of Australia.
