ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
ABOVE THE CLOUD CLOSE TO THE HEART

The Saturday jazz-rock garage band, the now and then jam sessions for amateurs that's how it all began.
But at one point it wasn't enough, something we had not expected burst out that we had to play & share.

In 2006, Eric(vocals/keys), JD(percussions) with the help of Guy & Vince Duval (guitar & bass) and Philippe (drums) set up STRATUS and composed, produced & realized Skytripper, the debut album (2008).

Then the Stratus Duo, Eric & JD, took to the long well-trodden road to play wherever & whenever it chanced. From jazz to soul, from Valencia (Spain) to New-Mexico or New-York, that's where Eric's music & songs travel with the fender Rhodes piano unique sound drifting upon the congas rhythms.

The stage is the act of celebration, the magic & emotions to share, a trip to the worlds of poetry & trance.

The radio is on and as we listen we dive for the next move. See us hear us on the road....
