ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
There are recorder players who are more technical, others who are more classical, but there are precious few who are more soothing to listen to. Stohsdivad combines the beautiful melodies, moving accompaniment, and mild improvisation to provide the most enjoyable recorder music west of the Sierras.

A delightful surprise to all who listen, Strohsdivad will captivate you with the diversity of musical styles and the tranquility and brilliance of the recorders he plays.

After studying saxophone with the venerable Bill Trimble at San Jose State, Strohsdivad has transitioned his technique and writing skills to the instrument of the recorder. Personally endorsed by Dr. Andrew Perry, President of Peripole Bergerault Recorders, Strohsdivad defies other recorder players by playing plastic model recorders, rather than the standard maple recorders. The difference is clear, in the beautiful resonance that the Peripole Angel recorders provide, yes, even compared to the maple models, you will find Strohsdivad's tone as fine as there is.

Strohsdivad is very creative.
I think it is great how Strohsdivad was able to create such smooth sounding melodies with the recorder (an instrument we often take for granted). With the accompanying guitar and percussion it is a great listening experience.
