Album Notes

July 4th 1997 sweltering in a steam bath of humid, polluted, hazy, summer air seeping into their lungs the wretched death of rotting crabs in the bowels of South Philadelphia. Armed with trash bags full of beer and quarter sticks of dynamite the heathen set Christian Martucci, Eric Dead, and Dave Glass approach the Opera house in the shadow of the ominous towering projects next door in related harmony, chaos within its own walls. The Strychnine Babies onslaught epic recording their first EP "Six Songs For Self Destruction" true to its name and creedence, is underway in this single afternoon. This is taking place only a few months after the bands original Philadelphia line up united.
Dining on decadence of malt liquor and cheese steaks its all over in a matter of hours. Time to celebrate out of the studio swaggering down the road to oblivion lighting up quarter sticks of dynamite throwing them over their shoulders blowing up in the street. Explosions ricochet echoing off the buildings and overpass above their heads, a sickening emense wall of noise, a testament to what is to come...
