Album Notes
Displaying dazzling rhymes, battling prowess, and intimidating wordplay, Stryfe Dafantam has been known by many to be the next surprising artist to come out of Detroit.

Dafantam (born Krystyan Anderson) spent his childhood surrounded by music. He would watch as his father's singing group Just Unique reached the very edge of breaking into the industry, then dismantled. Being bitten by the music bug, he began writing his own raps at the age of 11, influenced by the songs he heard from Bone Thugs and Biggie Smalls on the radio. Raised on the east side of the Motor City, Dafantam came from rough times, but still managed to overcome his numerous hardships and even graduate from Michigan State University.

Once part of a 13 man group called the Illiance, Stryfe experienced the ups and down of being a budding indie hip-hop artist. Involved in a number of projects associated with the group as well as his first solo album "Great Expectations", Stryfe had done shows in and around Detroit, Lansing (MI), and Rochester (NY), before the label he was under went bankrupt.

Keeping it moving along, Stryfe bounced back by continuing to do what he does best. His second album, "City of God", has enlisted production from the Detroit area as well as Europe. Seeking to quench the thirst for something different, the project depicts the life of an established artist met by the challenges of maintaining his image in the rap game.

Often known as one of the most humble, underrated artists from Detroit, Stryfe aims to make his mark by "slammin' spikes into tracks like John Henry."
