Album Notes
"It's the most familiar sounding original music you've never heard. Described as a cross between Steely Dan and Sting, with a splash of Joni Mitchell and just enough ROCK to kick the whole thing in the ass, The Stuart Guest Band defies the current music scene with haunting melodies, sophisticated lyrics and top notch musicianship. This band is a must hear, must see!"

Produced by Elliot Easton (guitarist for THE CARS) and engineered by Mark Linett (Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson, Elton John), Stuart's soulful lyrics, Scott's driving drums, Woody's solid bass and Joey's sonic guitars come together to produce pop songs that are as smart as they are clever as they are catchy.

This LA-based group has performed with members of TOTO and opened up for THE TUBES. The debut 4-song CD shows not only that the Stuart Guest Band has a defined sound, but that it's a versatile sound at the same time. Take a listen to "Can I buy you one Katie" and you'd never think it's the same band that does "Gone Beyond Magdalena" - but once you realize that it IS the same four guys, it all makes sense.

one of the better CD's in my collection
Good pop rock stuff. They have a good pop sound, kinda Fountains of Wayne songwriting style. Totally worth buying. I sing along with it - so it's catchy.
