Album Notes

Florida singer/songwriter Stu Weaver has been making intelligent music since 1987. Based in St. Augustine where he plays regularly at the Milltop Tavern, Stu writes and performs songs with a depth and complexity rarely seen. He has opened for such various artists as John Gorka, Gamble Rogers, Dave Potts and Rod MacDonald and performed all over the country at such places as Nashville Italian Street Fair and Carolina Streetscene. From lovelorn wanderers to desperate housewives to psychotic killers on the highway, you never know what he'll perform next. Containing eleven original tunes as well as a funky cover of Chuck Brodsky's classic "Blow 'em Away", almost all of the instrumentation on "Spent" was performed by Stu with some choice guest appearances from Jim DeVito (of Gunga Din), Stan Lynch (of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers) and Marty Jourard (of the Motels).
