Album Notes

Styliani, Greek-born and American-trained, performed as a soloist with orchestra, recitalist and chamber musician. She studied with the legendary saxophonist, Sigurd Rascher, the most important artist inthe history of the classical saxophone, following studies at the Manhattan School of Music. Heard on International and National Radio. Performances at Weill Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall), Merkin Concert Hall, the Kennedy Center and other performances throughout the US. She has performed for Army Generals, His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Secretary of the Interior, ambassadors of Israel, China,Greece and Cyprus. Invited to perform in the 2003 World Saxophone Congress XIII.

Yannis Xylas, a resident of New York City, has performed extensively in the USA, Greece, India and Spain. He also specializes in rarely performed music and Greek Classical
music. In 1999, he made his Lincoln Center (Avery Fischer Hall) debut in New Yorkin the triple capacity of performer, orchestrator and artistic director in a concert featuring Greek classical music. He has also performed in Washington DC at the Kennedy Center in a similar concert, bringing Greek music to the Center for the first time. Yannis debut recording, Yannis Performs Live in NYC was recorded live in
New York City in 2003.
