Album Notes

biography

subject bias is an indie-rock band, based out of Portland ME, that's compared to the styles of Bright Eyes, Pedro the Lion and Elliott Smith. They use acoustic and electric sounds to deliver smart lyrics with a sarcastic edge.

subject bias has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with bands like the Dresden Dolls, L.P., Hank Decken, Dan Blakeslee, and Baltimore based, Lake Trout.

Also, they have the unique ability to play in small venues like coffee houses or large venues and still be able to connect directly with the audience. Ouellette, writer and front man, likes to simply describe his music as "honest". Listeners are carried through their music with a brilliant combination of controlled calm melodies and moments of rage while their lyrics question everything that is personal to them.

No words for it, just impressive...

I'm definitly into the tracks on this cd, I've owned it for about a week now, and while I thought I might just post a review instantly, I waited it out and REALLY listened to it. Everything is well put together, and the lyrics are amazing. I'm partial to the 2nd Track, "we are worried about you" The piano is a nice element. Awesome awesome cd. I'd give it 5 stars, but nothing is perfect, so I'll give it 4 3/4 stars.
