Album Notes

SubGrav began in 1994 at the height of the techno/rave craze in the US, when croc shop keyboardist and composer vMarkus decided to create music that stood apart from the hard EBM-industrial sounds of his main musical focus.
Although active in mixing and producing music for the project, subgrav did not release its first album until 2000 on the original mp3.com.
The name of the first album was taken from a small piece of paper - a torn, partial article - with the words 'No High Ambient Tripping'. The phrase may have belonged to telephony, but the sentiment echoed the project's desire to keep a dance floor moving and distance itself from the increasingly eclectic and undanceable techno that was around at the time.
The latest release is called 'Tokyo', taking the listener on a musical journey through this enigmatic, eclectic, and energising city!
