Album Notes

Atlanta's avantgarde demi-god, armed with spoken word, vocal loops and a bank of theremins, is a required show for anyone who hasn't seen him before. He's a bad ass and someone who has a special place in underground music. You must listen to his latest release to know the real definition of "RAKE."

A one man sonic army, Serson Brannen, veteran space rocker, started the Subliminator project in '05. After years as a member of space rock icons Spaceseed, The Subliminator set out on his own and was immediately signed to Atlanta's Scared records. "Recalibrated," his first release for the label (and a split release on legendary indie label, Stickfigure) quickly achieved critical acclaim and the latest, "Rake" (quick, what's a rake?) is out now.

The Subliminator collected two of Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta awards in '06 and '07. Relentless touring throughout the U.S. (Who else do you know that tours by motorcycle?) has kept him in the public eye and he continues to take the avant-garde/underground scene by storm. Combining dark vocals and theremins, his sound is hard-edged, unique, original, and brings rock n' roll flash to dark sonic art.
