Album Notes

If you haven't heard of Sub-Motive, you really should get your hearing checked. This is modern rock music injected with the staying power of the 60's and 70's. It's old. It's new. Young people like it because of the energy, while their parents like it because it reminds them of the music from their generation. It's fun and nostalgic, blended into meticulously-crafted works of emotion. The songs are concise, the lyrics are clean, the message is clear: you are in for the ride of you life, and there's no turning back.

'Chasing Memories' is a roller-coaster of emotions, careening from the steamy anticipation of 'One Shot,' the conflicted self-doubt of 'In The Midst Of It All,' to a weary outstretched hand of forgiveness in 'Miss You,' the ups and downs are staggering considering the album clocks in at 45 minutes. Even more impressive is the musical maturity coming from a band whose members are only 20 years old.

This is the fourth CD Sub-Motive has recorded, and the production proves they've certainly been down the avenue of songwriting before. Formed in 2001, the band continues to perform to a steadily-growing fan base throughout Washington.

I like how this CD starts off really upbeat, but then also has slow stuff later on. Hmm.. well its just really good. Especially for just $10 too, I really like this CD. You should buy it.
