'THE EXPLODING PLASTIC INEVITABLE' is a recording that makes you think you can time trip back in time. A time when you got your rocks off with big, loud kick out the jam guitar rock riffs. SUBSTITUTES ‘THE EXPLODING PLASTIC INEVITABLE’ (INDEPENDENT)   SUBSTITUTES is a Californian band with a big Stoner Rocksound that sounds like a mix between JIMI HENDRIX, KYUSS, THE CULT and KING’S X. Their sound is very professional and without a doubt this independent CD has the same level as a major label release. 10 songs are included and with influences from early 70s and some 80s, this band is playing all-original Rock and Roll. The guitarsound is heavy and groovy, owing much to early BLACK SABBATH and JIMI HENDRIX, while the vocalwork is in a sort of JIMI HENDRIX meets PHIL LYNOTT kinda style.
