Album Notes

SUBTECH has been around since the early 90's when the crew started pumping out hype sounding tracks featuring a diverse cross section of the local NYC scene. Subtech has had an interesting history including record deals and a continually expanding roster of members and affiliates.
Over 5000 copies of Subtech's debut album have been sold on NYC street corners, subway trains, and nightclubs. The debut CD which is being sold here incorporates a wide variety of styles including Trip Hop, Metal, Jungle, Hip Hop, Rock, and Soca.
A more detailed history of the crew can be found on the web including old magazine articles, pictures and a track featuring Tricky of Massive Attack threatening the Derelict via the phone.
Recently some British guy has been putting out extremely lame dance records using the name Subtech. WE ARE THE ORIGINALS from Brooklyn with copyrights, press, and legal documents dating back to the early 90's. We haven't gotten over to England to straighten this guy out yet, but for his sake hope he doesn't come to NYC.
