One of the first things you will notice about Sue Ann O’Neal is an infectious smile that is bright enough to rival any spotlight. While she is, without a doubt, a very attractive lady, what really comes shining through is the beauty of her spirit. This native of Springfield, Missouri has honed her craft since she debuted at three years of age in the children's choir of her Uncle Bob Johnson’s church, Seminole Baptist Temple. There was little doubt among her family, friends and listeners that she was destined to share her gift of music with the world.
As a teenager with her first Sears and Roebuck guitar, like many she dreamed of leaving the Ozarks, and one day becoming a star. Her dream came true, due in large part to her hard work, dedication and love of performing. The same talents that led to her being one of the stars of Presley’s Jubilee in Branson, Missouri for several years, Sue Ann’s dreams did not stop there-and neither did the opportunities. Hard work and dedication gave root to the dream which has taken her across the continent several times throughout the years.
“Album of the Year” awarded by Great Empire Broadcasting Company; national concert tours, television appearances as well as producing her own CD “Touching Jesus” which reflects her gospel roots and her beautiful country sound. Her self-penned release "The American Farmer" gained airplay on stations across the nation and in Europe. The song is dedicated to farm life and is a tribute to her Grandfather and her Dad, Emmit O‘Neal. Sue Ann is preparing and writing for her second Gospel project with producer Robb Tripp of the Family Room Studio in Gallatin, TN which will include a few of her latest writings.
Sue Ann has shared the concert stage with many artists including some of Southern Gospel’s finest, The Dove Brothers, the Crabb Family, and Karen Peck and New River. She was known to many as the host of the worship service Celebrate Sunday with Sue Ann O’Neal, a “Message in song” for several years at the IMAX Entertainment Complex in Branson.
She has appeared on stage with Tony Orlando, Glen Campbell, Bob Hope, Larry Gatlin, BoxCar Willie, the Oak Ridge Boys, Rodney Dillard of the Andy Griffith Show, Larry Stewart of Restless Heart, Dana Williams of Diamond Rio, The Lennon Sisters, Grand Ole Opry Stars Bill Anderson, Billy Crash Craddock, Jan Howard, Helen Cornelius, also Leona Williams, Barbara Fairchild, the Statler Brothers, and The Osmond Brothers.
TV Appearances include the Nashville Now with Ralph Emery,
CBS This Morning, Good Morning America, World Premier Concert for Gospel Music Television Network, Missouri Tourism TV/Radio, PAX TV/Dallas, and The Old Country Church/Hitchcock Enterprises seen lately on the RFD Network.
Sue Ann is married to Richard Daniel Clark, the creator of the American Highrise Presidential Inaugural art piece that honors America’s Heroes. www.americanhighrise.com
