I'm an adult contemporary singer/songwriter from Middletown, Rhode Island. I've enjoyed the release of Hope Rising which debuts off of my own label Gentle Spirit Records™. The songs that grace this CD were written, performed and produced by me. Each one speaks to you, gently tapping you on the shoulder, reminding you that hope does exist around the corner. "Forget You Never" consoles those faced with Alzheimer's, reassuring the listener the heart never forgets, "On the Way to Finding Peace" is a call for peace and acceptance for all mankind and "Hope Rising" contains vignettes of actual wishes granted to children with life threatening illnesses.
Like many artists, my career arose at an early age. It began on an upbeat note and, actually, on a much more different path than where I am today. I started out as a singer in a top 40 band and managed to find time to perform in cabarets and theaters. Several seasons in stock theater followed by a cabaret performance for members of The Royal Family and appearances at New York's Catch a Rising Star.
Shortly after, I began auditioning for Broadway. During that time, the tempo changed. I had to put my musical career on hold while battling a rare form of cancer. Throughout those years, I re-directed my passion as a performing artist and found my hearts true desire during one of the darkest times in my life, writing and recording songs immersed in meaning.
Today, you'll find me, once again, on an upbeat note, emerged in promoting this CD and writing new songs.
Currently, we are working with charitable organizations, such as www.makeawishri.org, in hopes of raising funds for various causes.
I'm also in the midst of arranging/recording a theme song for a movie scheduled for release in 2008.
Rest assured, as long as I am breathing, I'll be writing, singing, recording, and promoting my muse in hopes of stirring many a soul.

When I listen to my cd at work, everyone who hears it has asked where they can get a copy. In the car, my 12yo son and 3yo nephew ask me to play her CD instead of my XM Radio. Sue's music and voice should definately be in movies, they really have a story to tell.
