notes

Charles L Johnson has always been Sue Keller's favorite ragtime composer. Mainly because his up-tempo pieces are as much fun to play as they are to listen to. While his more serious syncopated waltzes are among the most beautiful and moving pieces ever composed.

Sue Keller is the Artistic Director for the Scott Joplin Festival held annually in Sedalia, Missouri.

    author: Jean-marc Andres

If Frederic Chopin had been playing ragtime music it probably would have sound like Charles Johnson. Sue Keller brings the beautifull interpretation that this music deserves. With its digipack presentation this CD is all together a great gift. Thank you!
