SUENOS is the Spanish word for dreams…… and SUENOS is the name of the exciting Chicano Soul band from Sacramento, California that was formed in 1979, under the guidance of bandleader/ songwriter/bassist Frank Lizarraga and Israfel Records (now, Lovetaxi Productions), the group started recording and within months signed a distribution deal with Luna Records of Los Angeles and were releasing records to Spanish and English markets and radio stations.

Two songs; “BABY, I LOVE YOU” and “OH’ LITTLE GIRL” received extended airplay in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Their 12” single “I’M SO CRAZY FOR YOU” was well received on both the West & East coasts and in Europe. Their cumbia “LA CITA" and ranchera “SOY COMPESINO” received airplay on regional & national Spanish radio stations.

The group has opened for Tierra, Los Lobos, Jorge Dalto, Francisco Aquabella and Los Tigres Del Norte. After ten years of performing at night clubs, Lowrider shows, gran bailes, and music festivals the band disbanded to pursue solo projects and would regroup to participate for special events and studio projects.

In 2006 Lovetaxi Productions, released "HOLLYWOOD GIRL and more Chicano Soul" CD-411 featuring eleven songs including; "Baby, I Love You" and "Oh, Little Girl" & "Hollywood Girl".

This 2009 year, nine original Suenos band members; Jamie Zuniga, Rudy Morones, Bernie Torres, El Lobo Rudy Alcantar, Augie Lara, Victor Bejarano, Polo Martinez, Roy Santos and Frank Lizarraga reunited to record and release "The REUNION" CD-777, featuring seven original never released songs to celebrate their 30th year anniversary in the music business.
