Album Notes

If It Rains On Tuesday is a blend of acoustic rock with poppy hooks and catchy melodies. Michelle's powerful voice transcend the songs to explosive new rock heights. You can see her and her band performing live throughout NYC. This is her debut CD, released in July 2006.

Michelle has always wanted to be a performer. She has been on the stage since the age of three, dancing, singing, and acting. Michelle attended Marist College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in communications and theater. During her time at Marist, she acted in and directed numerous theater productions. After graduation, Michelle moved to New York City where she began to study acting with Terry Schreiber at T. Schreiber Studio, as well as vocal training and performance with Betty Buckley, Tregoney Shepard, and currently with Nancy Evers.

Michelle, who always loved to sing and write poetry, taught herself guitar with the intention of writing songs. Through playing the guitar and songwriting, Michelle has discovered that creating her own music is where her true passion lies. Her songs are heartfelt, truthful, and emotionally driven.

Michelle describes her music as rock/folk with soulful vocals. Among the artists who she accredits to influencing her most are Tracy Chapman, Sheryl Crow, Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan, John Fogerty, Citizen Cope, Guster, Fiona Apple, John Mayer, and The Beatles.

“If It Rains On Tuesday” breaks all barriers of a traditional debut album. Instead of playing it safe and generic, Michelle Suesens crosses all genres while blending them with her own unique style. Whether it is edgy rock with "Crash-n-Burn”, funky 50’s pop in “Done”, or the soulful “All that it’s Cost”, Michelle Suesens never fails. One of my personal favorites, “A Part of We” has a mysterious lyrical and melodic combination that you can’t find in any other song out there. Every song on this album stands out strong on it’s own!

I really enjoyed Michelle's CD - If It Rains on Tuesday. The lyrics are clear enough to understand which is a welcomed change from a lot of artists these days. The sound is fresh, original and catchy!! My favorite is In The End. Pass the word and don't miss one of her performances. She's amazing.

This is a fantastic cd, both musically, and especially, vocally. It is extremely well-crafted, and blends the best elements of folk, rock, acoustic and pop. Although I loved each and every song on the album, I especially loved Done, Back to You, In the End, Gray and the beautiful, soulful love song, For You, which highlights Michelle's rich, distinctive voice. I recommend this cd to anyone who enjoys great music!
