With elements of soul, R&B, funk, rock, and pop, Sugar Shack plays original music that’s hard to categorize but easy to groove to. The first thing that always blows people away is the beauty and power of not 1, but 3 lead vocalists. Jake Morgan adds his gospel influenced, highly unique sound to 8 of the album's songs. Terrie Odabi, with perhaps the greatest and most powerful voice in Oakland, sings 2 of the songs. The remaining songs are given life through the voice of Becca Neunebel. At 26 years old she has already been on countless recordings, been featured in three nationally released video games, and was featured on American Idol.

The next thing that people are drawn to is the groove. We’ve all been to those concerts where nobody gets out of their seats, but you’ll never see that happen at a Sugar Shack show. The members of the band have been laying down grooves for artists like Zigaboo Modeliste, Lonnie Smith, Tang, and Will Bernard for the past several years. Though side projects are always available, it’s clear that Sugar Shack is where they have all found their home and will make their mark.
