Album Notes

Hailing from Florida, Summerbirds in the Cellar's debut album, With the Hands of the Hunter it All Becomes Dead, has been called "A genuinely astounding album that's a triumph of artistic ethos" by The Orlando Citybeat. Haunting, complex melodies
author: Suzanne Laatsch
The complex music on this CD has a haunting quality, but is very accessible. It ranges from the electronic sounding instrumental "the machines won't fail" to the rock guitar of "lonely sleeping giant". Piano and quitar weave in and out of each other and form the counterpoint to the vocals. In "sunlight sickness, electric night" the cadenced beat runs under the vocal, but never overwhelms it. Curtis' piano shines on "beware false prophets". Not a bad cut on this album.
