In the midst of departing from the rap-rock world, gradually becoming less of an mc and more of a singer-songwriter, David picks up his mom's old yamaha nylon string acoustic guitar and starts singing and arranging songs. One year or so later, sunchild is born, a collection of songs constructed by David. Some of the songs are layered with soundtrack-like violin arrangements, some are played over hip-hop type electric drum patterns. Some of the songs are recorded in state of the art recording studios, some are recorded in David's bedroom on a 4-track analog recorder he bought at a pawn shop for $40.
The debut self-titled sunchild is a very original, raw yet polished, honest arrangement of songs.
