As a producer, composer, guitarist, performer, session musician and Recording/Mix engineer, Robert Blackburn demonstrates a sincere dedication to his art forms in a most creative and imaginative way. Through a blend of technique and passionate expression of self in the moment, his work reflects true effort and joy within the music he creates.

Robert T. Blackburn holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Classical Performance on guitar from Norwich University, Vermont. He has also received an Audio Engineering degree from New York University.

Since 1986, he has toured extensively throughout the United States, including the New York New jersey area, Vermont, Chicago, St. Louis, Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angles.

Blackburn is Codesigner of the Popular Pro Audio And Recording Technologies Class offered in Rochester, New York. For the Past Ten years he has successfully run his own Private Music School, (Stringworks LTD.) In addition to his teaching commitments, he is Chief Engineer at Black Dog Recording Studios located in Rochester, New York.

Robert's passion of music fuses Rock and Roll and Classical technique into his own potent style of ever evolving forms of musical expression. His ability to embrace technology as yet another instrument only solidifies his endless artistic dedication.

Blackburn's recent collaboration with David Malcolm Moore focuses the talents of two unique and powerful disciplines into a singular creative force. The result is a new style of pop musical sound that blossoms with each new effort.

Currently available, their latest release, Sunspot (Independent), swirls together a dramatic blend of music and emotions that will leave you wanting more.
