Album Notes

"Super Genius" is Mike Barry, the former singer/songwriter of Boston club faves "Pooka Stew," renowned English drummer Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention, Richard Thompson, Paul McCartney, XTC), and veteran guitarist and bassist Milt Reder and Dean Cassell (Barrence Whitfield and The Savages, Four Piece Suit.)

Their debut album was released in the US as "Super Genius" in 2002 and on Track Records in the UK as "The Cult of Money" in 2003. Bob Harris of BBC Radio 2 selected it as one of the best releases of 2003, while in the US songs from it appeared in TV shows on MTV and the WB network.

The second album, "Heel Thyself" has just been released in the US. This time around Barry is joined on three songs by the wonderful Syd Straw.
