Alternative rock with unusual beats, great guitar work and possibly the best vocalist in new music today. If No Doubt and Incubus joined forces to make a record, this might be what it would sound like.

Album Notes

Based out of Houston Texas, Superna, pronounced "sue-perna" meaning "other worldly", are a dynamic and versatile rock/alt band that uses and fuses different musical styles and sounds together in a unique and creative way. Their songs don't sound all the same and mundane, not always hard and heavy or slow and melodic but a fresh blend that draws you in. "Their music and lyrics reflect life and the different challenges, obstacles and emotions we all face." Their live performances speak for themselves but it's the musical vibe of contrast, color and emotion that they strive for.

One of Houstons rising stars
author: Apache
This is one of Houstons hottest local artists. This CD is a good strong offering to the world of modern rock, and I'm sure it will help win over many new Superna fans. This CD is a great blend of latin rhythms and melodies with heavy guitar rock. The mix is a little abrasive with the guitar so dominant all the time, and the vocals pushed back, doubled, and covered in effects. This makes it hard to understand the lyrics at times, and I found myself struggling to hear and understand the message of the song. Other than that I completely enjoyed this piece of work and look forward to watching this bands career.

This CD is one with the potential for Longevity. The music is extremely well crafted and the vocals blend over it like creamy icing on a cake of hard rock. This is their best album yet and i can't wait to see this band hit the big one!
