Supersonic is a straight-up rock ‘n roll outfit that first attracted the attention of the indie music world in 2002. Supersonic has created a unique brand of guitar pop that combines the roar of arena rock with the soaring melodies and catchy hooks of modern pop music.
Incorporating a rotating line-up of players, Supersonic is anchored by Chris Stults’s edgy, raucous guitar sound and his sometimes sweet, sometimes sneering vocal style. The foundation of Supersonic’s rhythm section is Chris “C-Vass” Vasseur’s thunderous drums. Supersonic’s lyrics are often marked with a wide-eyed optimism not often found in modern rock music.
Supersonic’s first EP, You Just Wait…, was released in 2002 and helped them gain the attention of regional media outlets, including: The Orlando Sentinel, O-Rock 105.9, Real Radio 104.1’s “News Thang with Melissa Foxx,” WMFE’s “For Real” television program, and The Orlando Weekly Magazine.
Supersonic moved to Miami in 2004 to begin recording their first full-length record. They continue to perform and record in South Florida. They have also participated in a number of Battle of the Bands contests and have consistently come out on top.
Their first full length LP, (((supersonic))), was released in the summer of 2006 and features songs in a variety of different styles. There are “balls out” rockers, big anthem-like ballads, and even short trips in psychedelic and techno rock. The release is sure to please anyone and everyone who loves what rock ‘n roll once was, and what it still has the potential to be.
