At a private party back in 2003, Jesper, Martin and Claus were brought together. The acoustic guitar was passed around and it marked the birth of SURFACT. Niels and Jeppe completed the line-up and an ambitious hard working band was on the rise.
Today SURFACT has played hundreds of gigs all over the world including: Denmark, Spain, France, New York and Los Angeles and has had extensive radio and TV exposure. After a successful demo release in 2005, SURFACT is looking to record their first album this summer.
The band recently returned from the USA, where they played legendary venues like the Viper Room in Los Angeles and The Mercury Lounge in New York and also shot two music videos in Hollywood which will be launched as their first two singles this Spring 2006.
Without a doubt, SURFACT is ready to take it to the top of the international music scene.
Stay tuned as they make the move...

Rock with heart and soul

There is so much feeling exuding from these songs, they don't feel mechanical like so much music these days. The music sounds live and direct. The joy they feel in playing comes through. The songs are well constructed (except for Way Home, which still needs some work), the lyrics are someone's actual feelings and not just cliches, the singer has a great, expressive voice, (this guy can actually sing!) and the band plays with incredible control. If they sound this good 'from birth' I can't wait to hear more as they mature. I only wish the full band version of "Divine" was on this CD, as good as the acoustical version is.

This CD is awesome! I especially like Sugarcane and Soul Slide (their current single) which I've been listening to for some time now - I miss Monkey On Your Back and Make Me Fail though, two other great songs.
Nothing else I can say, but to support these guys and buy their CD!
