Band Members-- Myself on guitars, synths & various drum machines. Recorded digitally on 8-track. This was my first official release. Not quite as sophisticated as the later ones, but for some reason, some people love to drive in fast (or slow) cars whist listening to it. Also good on the beach with headphones when you are drunk. Some of my pieces are works in progress... .Maybe to be reinterpreted on my next recordings. It took me longer than any of my other CDs to make. In part because my recording equipment was more archaic, and in part because I was learning the whole digital recording process. Some of the track were recorded directly into a Ddigital masterdisc recorder, so I had to be very careful to get the volume/tones right. I had little way of tweaking afterwards. Now, I can just go back to the original 8-tracks and change them independently. Tone, rhythm & melody, using as few notes as possible These are some of the key elements that I strive for. Like soundtracks to movies--sometimes only a couple of notes are needed to evoke a feeling. That's my excuse anyway.....Played guitar for decades, guess I will never be a shredding speed-demon!
Influences-- Many, many unsigned experimental heros. Also---Wishbone Ash, The Shadows, Pink Floyd, Aqua Velvets, Iron Maiden, Hawkwind, Tangerine Dream, Gary Numan, The Surf Kings. The Lost Patrol.
Sounds Like--- Some of the above and sooo much more (or less). An aural extravaganza of bizarre sounds rushing through my brain, the by-product of decades of listening (voluntarily and involuntarily) to a plethora of strange sounds, on this planet and several others.
