Album Notes

One of the rarest AOR/Melodic rock CD's out there, Surrender delivers brilliant classic 80s AOR/Rock with a slightly prog touch. Surrender should have been a household name, blending stellar musicianship, killer vocal harmonies, and outstanding production values. This is a MUST HAVE CD for fans of Toto, Journey, Asia, and Yes.

Surrender re-released their long-lost album that was never released in the first place. Confused? Let's clear things up. Better Later Than Never was recorded originally between 1987 and 1989. By the time this self-produced and self-financed project was finished the musical landscape had changed, and the original 9-song CD wasn't signed or released by any of the major labels. Yet somehow the unreleased material made its way onto the internet and was sold on eBay for thousands of dollars.

The band was completely unaware of this until a fan contacted them. Surrender had somehow gathered a worldwide cult following, though the identity of the band members was shrouded in mystery. The group decided to officially remaster and release the album themselves with liner notes, lyrics, and 3 bonus tracks. The result is absolutely stunning; a great-sounding record with great songs and passionate performances from beginning to end.
