Hello fellow jazz listeners.....have we got a treat for you! If you like classic jazz standards, you'll love Misbehavin'Heart! Along with Susan's clear and heartfelt vocals, this CD has some great piano, bass, sax and clarinet solos. We had such fun making this CD!
Susan has been singing professionally for over fifteen years and has performed in New York, Hawaii, and numerous states across the country. She has also performed on the Princess Cruiselines. In Seattle, she has been a guest artist at the Rosario Resort, Tula's, Nana Carmela's, Patti Sommers, Grazies, and the Sorrento Hotel to name a few.
Her first jazz CD consists mostly of original songs and is called Eckener's Landing, with the group Hugo Eckener Septet. This group continues to perform once or twice a year in the Seattle area.
After the September 11th tragedy, Susan was invited to record an original song called The Promise. It was written by Phil Seagran about the event. Its style sounds like the score to a movie soundtrack and was played on the National Armed Forces Radio. The single was sold in local Barnes and Noble stores with some of the proceeds donated to the American Red Cross.
Susan is excited to enter into the 'jazz' scene again and to throw in a few surprises with her blues harp and percussion! And fans, this is only the beginning....improvisation is limitless and the joy of jazz eternal......
