author: Alice Marie
Weaving passion and joy with a sweet and soulful voice, excellent songwriting and top-notch production, SusanJoy more than lives up to her name. "Loverboy," "The Air," "The Bee Believes," and "Waiting" are standout tracks, but the entire work is a labor of love that you will be glad you added to your collection.

An awesome collection of beautifully-crafted songs.
author: Yann GIRAUD (from France)
This recording begins with "Loverboy" which is a traditional country song, traditional but amazing as SusanJoy Grieco is from NJ. Her song sounds just like a real Nashville recording. This does not mean that SusanJoy's music is just about imitation. The first song on the Cd is a perfect choice, which works like a trick. The following ones show that SusanJoy has much more in her pocket. "The Air" is the kind of song you want to hear on the morning to be sure you'll have a beautiful day. SusanJoy's voice is a blend of Emmilou Harris and Dolly Parton textures, but she's even better when she tries pop songs, as her style becomes much more original and personal. For example, the recording most beautiful song (in my opinion), "He Said, She Said", is a Carole King-like ballad, that seems to step out of the 70's female composers's golden era, you can also think of Judee Sill, Joni Mitchell, but beyond those influences, she's building a highly personal universe, and her voice fits perfectly to it. "The Bee Believes" is also an amazing song with a celtic feeling, but with a strong pop melody. And after the last song "Perhaps", you may want to listen to it again and again. Highly recommended.
