This CD is, for me, a reminder of my grandmother singing hymns when I was a child. Susan Lainey's voice is beautiful and should be world famous.

This CD has everything...

Great songs with fresh melodies and moving lyrics, a quality recording, and beautiful guitar playing and vocals. I’ve been listening to this CD in my car and find myself backing off on the gas pedal – no longer in such a hurry to get where I’m going. Susan does a few covers on this CD and they are wonderful – her voice and guitar carry the show and let the beauty of the music and lyrics come through. However, most of the tracks are songs written by her and each one is a gem that any of us can relate to. They have real staying power too - I’ve listened to this over and over and each of her songs still sounds fresh.

Quality songs, quality musicianship, clean production

If you were to walk into a room where Susan Lainey's CD was being played, you probably wouldn't suddenly get the urge to do any wild dancing. If you're like me, however, you would probably want to sit down and listen. You might even want to tell other people to please be quiet so that you could listen more closely.
This is NOT background noise, folks. These are good songs written or chosen by Susan, with Susan's voice and guitar carrying the entire musical load with great success. And the songs are much like good friends that mean more to you the better you get to know them.
Also, it's a quality recording. Unlike many idependently produced CD's, it does NOT have that "recorded in a tin can" sound to it. Give it a listen and hear for yourself!
