/su-cher/ n. 1. :material or a stitch for sewing a wound together 2. : the fusing of organic and synthetic instrumentation to create what will commonly be known as SUTUR.
Rising up from the ashes of political unrest and bad heavy metal, SUTUR, began in the cold, cold winter of 1996. With only a handful of songs and a vague outline, SUTUR brought in one-time porno star Heather Sexual to round-out (?) their musical vision. With the recent addition of William Laveaux and Zach Zimmer, Sutur is now ready for a complete national overthrow. This particular incarnation of SUTUR released a 5-song demo; a full-length CD called "Cured By Porno", 3 music videos and played countless live performances to an ever-growing and ever-loyal fan base.
Drawing its influences from personal experiences, failed relationships and smut overloads, SUTUR armed itself with sampled guitars, aggro-vocals, infectious drum loops, and walls of electronic aggression.
Musically, SUTUR has been described as: abrasive, dancy, driving, and just plain noisy.
Past critics have stated: "Be afraid of SUTUR, be very afraid" and "Their stage show was the weirdest thing I've ever seen."
With all central characters in place and outline in hand, SUTUR set about the task of destroying America.
Focusing heavily at this time on the Midwest (and anticipating some resistance), SUTUR will, at the current rate of destruction, overthrow and own America by the year 2069.
Ponder if you will: a country ravaged by sex, violence, trash and disease...and then ask yourself, "Do I wanna aid this project, SUTUR, in fulfilling their dreams and aspirations of national annihilation or do I just sit back and snooze while corporate rock continues to poison the minds of our young and impressionable?"
It's up to you.
America eats its young and
SUTUR eats America!
Some quotes from famous folks:
daVe, guitarist from BILE: "(Sutur) I love this band and I love Heather too!"
John Elliot from DESSAU: "I've got to do a remix for this project. Very cool stuff!"
Wes Borland/Fred Durst from LIMP BIZKIT: "Sutur should headline the Family Values Tour." (From the MTV Family Values Tour Special)
Billy Roan, guitarist from THE DEADLIGHTS: "(Sutur) Wow! What a great live set!"
Heather Sexual - Programming, Synthesis, Mediator
American counter-culture activist turned porno star, turned fashion fiend, turned sutur synthesist. Loves horror films, action figures and platform shoes. The true princess of darkness.... the absolute apple of daddy's eye.
Brandon - Voice, Programming, Guitar
Self-confessed purveyor of all that is evil, though surprisingly quiet and sensitive at times. Forever seeking the answer, as well as the latest "high". Loves fast cars, fast thrills and fast women......likes music too.
William Laveaux- Guitar
Zach Zimmer - Guitar

a very well-done disc from an underexposed band
author: Michael X
This release is not for everyone--Shania Twain fans take note. But for those of you that do like heavy electronic/guitar mix music, this initial release from Midwest-based Sutur will surely please. Dark, somber, loud--these qualities are all here but there is also a genuine appreciation of trash culture which balances the music. On this disc, Suture sew it all together quite well.
