Suzannah Doyle writes and plays all styles of music, from the ridiculous to the sublime. From introspective ambient versions of "Amazing Grace" to quirky cartoon pieces such as "Looney Toonies," Suz delights in exploring all kinds of music possibilities using piano, guitar, bass, synthesizers and an array of talented musical cohorts on sax, woodwinds, ukulele and vocals.
This CD is a collection of songs (from 10 seconds to 2 minutes in length) that Suz composed and performed for use in TV, Movie, and multimedia projects. Or ringtones. Or just for some listening fun!
Suz appears on numerous albums (in jazz, indie rock, folk & women's comedy genres), played at the White House by invitation with her sax/ piano duo Another Dave, and is currently finishing up her first independent film about the language of music. Her musical with playwright Kristina Harris premiered in 2003, and she currently performs with "Impropera," a musical comedy improv theatre group. In her spare time, she mentors young composers and teen rock bands.
Is it legal to have this much fun creating music? Suz thinks so! Check out her website at www.SuzDoyle.com and you'll see what she means. P.S. Do you think Beethoven will mind that she did a boogie version of "Fur Elise"?
