Album Notes

Suzanne Paris is a singer, songwriter, and musician whose melodic voice intones earthy yet fiery lyrics that seem to always touch the inner soul of her listeners. Her acoustic rock style is lined with a contemporary pop that appeals to everyone.

This blue-eyed soul singer moved to California in the late 1990's from Aspen where she sharpened her songwriting and her performance skills. While in Aspen Suzanne met & played with many musicians and songwriters such as Stephen Stills, John Denver, and Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. Her experiences in Aspen were beneficial. Many of the songs Suzanne later recorded on her Pink Lipstick album were first inspired under Aspen's starlight.

The move to California brought on a multitude of opportunities that would ultimately be the beginning of her solo career. She began working with Rock N Roll Hall of Fame inductee Dave Mason, singing on a number of tunes he was recording. She did commercials with ex-steely Dan/Doobie Bros. Member Jeff "Skunk" Baxter who would end up working on her first CD just a few years later.

Pink Lipstick, Suzanne's debut, introduces the world to a vital, magnetic artist whose abundant talent and charisma are already well known to the indie artist network. The 10-song collection is a noteworthy accomplished and compelling first effort, offering a combination of raw emotion and eloquent songcraft which overall is what draws fans to the singer/songwriter/guitarist's live shows.

In a remarkable short time, Paris's effortlessly intimate live performances have made her key to the Southern California music scene, building public anticipation for the release of her upcoming album that will hit stores in the early summer of 2005.

Pink Lipstick doesn't disappoint. On such melodically arresting originals such as "Talk to the River", "Pink Lipstick" and "World of Hunger", the lyrics muse on life and love and gives insight to her mysterious demeanor. She sings her songs in a gentle, emotive voice that carries a level of depth conveying the elation of life and happiness.

Sexy Voice
I heard Suzanne on the radio for the first time this week in Aspen, CO and I haven't heard a voice like this in years. She's the talk of the town right now and I can't wait to see her take the world by surprise. Everyone needs a copy of this CD and the next from what I hear. It's well worth it!

Holy Shit! If god was a girl he'd sound like this!
Found you on myspace...your manager wasn't kidding. Love your voice! Look forward to your new album comming soon!

Josh Michaels (production director of KSPN)

soothing voice
We at KSPN have been playing Suzanne's Pink Lipstick album for about a year on our Colorado Homegrown feature, where her music has become a frequent request. From what I hear Suzanne has a new album on the horizon and I'm anxious to hear her new material and share it with our listeners. Suzanne combines folk rock with pop and tops it off with a calm and soothing voice. She sounds just as good live as she does on her album. I enjoyed interviewing her on our program and she's always welcome back.

FINALLY! A female artist with a beautiful, spirited soul
I don't know what the labels are waiting for but I know I'm waiting for the next CD! I like how your voice is heavenly and touches your heart. The CD is filled with great lyrics and originality. My fav's are World Of Hunger, Pink Lipstick, Bell's and Cowboy Moon. Good job on reaching out to all ages!

An angel must of sang this
It's amazing how you come across music! I sure didn't expect to run into this...writing a review for Suzanne Paris. Great lyrics and it's even better when you have a deep sexy voice penetrating through the words. Great CD description...HOT ROD!

The best damn thing I've heard in ages
I stumbled across this album because of hearing Suzanne on a Webcast -- I'd never heard of her before -- and was blown away. I can't remember the last time I was so taken with an album.

There is superb craft in each song. The songs speak to something very personal yet universal. Suzanne's voice is beautiful and affecting, and the playing and production are wonderful. This is something very special.

A painting made of sound
The lyrics chosen are the powerful, yet delicate colors in her voice that create an imaginary painting of her optimism. Well delivered and what a lovely voice. Where's the next CD?!!!! Best of luck to you and your production team!

I haven't heard a voice like this for a long time. This is a must have!!! Any person who does not buy this is out of their mind!
