Album Notes

Many thousands of years ago, Suzie Plakson was raised by a pack of wolves in a roomy cave on the southernmost tip of Sri Lanka. To this day, she is just barely civilized, and doesn’t see any use for napkins, roaming charges, or weedwackers. Having come so late to human speech, she developed a profound passion for it, and made her living as a theatre, TV, film actress, seeking interesting things to say, mostly in vain.

All along, she’s been a closet singer of all sorts of songs. Eventually, fate met readiness, in the form of a drummer named Mr. Singer (ah, the poetry of life), who heard Suzie sing and brought her to the studio of his pal, Jay Ferguson, to sing some more. Jay was one of the founding members of the 60’s rock band Spirit, then started the hard rock band JoJo Gunne, then did five solo albums, scoring the big hit Thunder Island, now he’s scoring lots of movies and TV shows...(If you want to know any more about him, except that he’s a swell guy and a wizard in the studio, let him write his own bio, I’m exhausted.) Jay also hipped Suzie to the idea that she was maybe a bit of a songwriter, too, and all nine songs of \"DidnWannaDoIt!\" were surprisingly born.

Hope you dig the music.
Thanks for clicking and reading and listening.

Love her lyrics. Her voice is so true. So guiltless. Like being naked in a church.
