Influences are British pop, jangle pop, Syd Barrett, Robyn Hitchcock and also the rich harmonies of bands such as the Roches. Swagg prefers to perform non-structured songs with shifting tempos and layered harmonies. The focus is on creating offbeat pop with incisive wit and dark lyrics against a sunny instrumentation.
