Swallowtail Trio
Band Biography

Patti Keller: Our Fiddle player has been actively involved in Irish and Folk music since her college days. At one time she ran the Unicorn Folk series in Fredonia N.Y. Booking all the Folk acts that performed at the college campus. She was also involved with the bookings for Buffalo Friends of Folk. Her love of fiddle tunes and ballads is quite evident in her playing and singing. And she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to both.

W.K. Moberly: Is our Guitar player. He was born in the great State of Kentucky. You can tell by his strange Irish brogue. He brings to the band rock solid rhythms and all the nice little fills that help to cement our sound. Some of the bands he has been a member of include, The Zazoo Libation Orchestra, Lonesome Willow and Castlegate. He is also is one of the long time movers and shakers for Buffalo’s People Art Coffee House.

Randy Keller: He is our multi- instrumentalist, He just can’t seem to focus on one. Depending on the number you can find him playing Guitar, Mandolin, Bodhran, Harmonica, Penny Whistle, Spoons, or Bones. He also carries the bulk of the vocal work for the group. Former host of a Bluegrass radio program in Buffalo. His love for acoustic music started when he was in High School. And his love for Irish music is just bred into him. His Great Grandfather was born in County Mayo Ireland.

This Band is quite proud of our appearances to date. We have had the pleasure of performing for The Buffalo Irish Center, The Shannon Pub, The Shamrock Pub, private parties, weddings as well as coffee house engagements.
And a few big feathers in our cap come from playing for the Grand Opening of the New Gaming Facility at The Erie County Fair Grounds. As well as our inclusion at a couple of the regions biggest and best festivals.
Including The Apple- Umpkin Festival ( Wyoming N.Y.) and The Elmwood Avenue Arts Festival (Buffalo N.Y).

This CD is the first recording of this exciting trio. Sure to bring a smile to your face and a tap to your toes! Just spin the disc, sit back, and enjoy the ride!!

Swallowtail Trio which plays on their first album Emergence lively dance tunes and nice interpretations of well known Folk songs. There are evergreens like Finnegan's Wake, The Irish Rover, The Star of the County Down. The pleasant singing of Randy Keller attracts positive attention and rounds out a successful debut album.
