Album Notes

"An explosion of music, attitude and ass shakin...all on one stage...all under one roof!"

Swampbytche! is an exciting blend of ole' school performance with new school antics. This six piece band is solid with the ability to move through musical genres as easy as you can snap your fingers. Included are Damon DueWhite on drums, Paul Frazier on bass, Kevin Hunter on guitar, Gary Fritz on percussion and Dave Eggar on cello. This extravaganza is fronted by an insanely energetic, rhythmical funkstress who gives you everything she's got! Together they bring you a swamp of entertainment at its maximum.

Lead by lead singer, Madame Venus, Swampbytche! has one mission and that is to entertain worldwide! She comes from the dance world starting out her professional life on Club MTV and going on to work with artist such as Michael Jackson in "Remember the Time" and somewhere around Madonna's "Girlie Show." Touring with Snap featuring Niki Haris gave Venus some of her favorite opportunities. She performed on "Top of the Pops" (London/8 million viewers), MTV Europe Live Party and "The American Bowl" in Berlin for 75,000 screaming fans at half-time!

These phenomenal musicians have played and/or recorded with bands as diverse as The Who, Pearl Jam and Phish to Roberta Flack, George Duke, Brandford Marsalis and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Along with several broadway shows including the national tour of "Bring in Da' Noise/Funk."

Swampbytche! has played The Bitterend, Arlene Grocery, The Elbow Room, and LeBarBat in NYC, The Ledge and The Cat Club in Los Angeles and Planet K in Tokyo Japan.

"31 Flavas" is pure, updated, early 70's Motown...Brilliant"
author: Splendid Ezine
This bands music is not half bad. The first track Nice Gurl, mixes some R&B attitude with a rock and roll announcement of sexual freedom that brings to mind the Waitresses classic I know What Boys Like. 31 Flavas is pure, updated early-70's Motown in the best possible sense of the word. This song has it all. Brilliant

psychedelic grooves never stop!

The stanky and irresistable rythmic essence of the culture and the urban psychedelic grooves never stop as soul, free-funk and pop get all mixed up. That mystical thang that infects America. The strong sexual images emerge amid fluid melodies, seamless grooves and supple vamps.
