Album Notes

Welcome to the SWAMP! SwampDonky is a rock band whose style draws upon elements of classic, blues, and alternative rock. We integrate melodic sensibility with old-school guitar-riff-laden drivin' grooves. Think Red Hot Chili Peppers meets Stone Temple Pilots meets The Black Crowes.

SwampDonky is a fan-favorite on the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, appearing at several venues including the Great American Music Hall, 12 Galaxies, Rockit Room, Grant & Green, Beale Street Bar, Fat City, Blakes on Telegraph, the Time Out, and Rooster’s Roadhouse.

Lead vocalist and drummer Joel Anderson always impresses audiences with his power, precision, and classic rock voice. Tommy Huxley is a blues-influenced lead guitarist with chops (think SRV meets Slash). Ryan Lorenzini’s rhythm guitar and keyboard parts add color to the sound. Tony Las Vegas is a lock down bassist. Many of the band’s songs feature 2- and 3-part vocal harmonies (with Ryan and Tony singing backup). Many songs also feature the baritone saxophone performed by frequent guest musician, Kevin Brunetti.
