Dinner at Eight Vol. 5 is a composite of live performances by one of Hawaii’s finest solo artist, David Swanson. From Stevie Wonder to Josh Grobin, this album contains something for music listeners who understand and appreciate the classics from the sixties until now. David’s arrangements of these classics are clever and well thought out as he combines melodies and harmonies with other grooves of the same likeness to create seamless medleys. His interpretations are fresh and soothing while still maintaining the integrity of the original version. Dinner At Eight Vol. 5, unlike the previous volumes has more of a pop, contemporary feel. No Swing on this one. The “ Smooth” comes out a bit more as David is even more comfortable in front of a live audience. You’ll imagine having dinner on a warm Hawaiian night along the Kahala Coast with that special someone when you listen to David Swanson Live “ Dinner At Eight” Vol. 5.
