"First of all, I must say I'm a huge fan of Sonic Youth. This being said, from the first seconds into this song I was already struck breathless by the screeching disharmonic guitars, noisy but steady drumming and the simple descending bassline! For me, after Velvet Underground, the Stooges, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur jr, it just makes no sense to play rock'n'roll any other way than this. It's my favorite tradition in music, an honest, intelligent blend of nihilism and beauty. The mix/mastering is maybe even unnecessarily harsh and distorted, but I love the sound of this band. Every drum fill, every guitar feedback, it's sheer genius. It's more hopeful - or less cynical - than SY, and the band is accompanied by some keyboard playing (heard distinctly only in the end of the song). The more I listen to the song, the more I'm hooked into this brilliant composition. It's better than anything I've heard this year. What more there is to say? I just wanna be your dog!"
"I want to see this band live with 7 beers in me and a crushed heart. I'd be the stupid one standing 1 foot from the speaker tower banging his head."
"Ahh, this is what indie rock is all about. Feedback right off the bat, driving rthyms on pawn-shop guitars and amps, voices so buried in the mix that lyrics become impossible to decipher and the drummer on the cymbals constantly. Nice, simple melody, and subtle indie rock harmonies. Loose guitar with lots of energy on the verge of chaos. Under 3 minutes. Beautiful."
"Hell yes! This band is fun! The lack of fidelity on the recording is more than made up for with energy. In fact, I'd say that the sound is just fine. With a little production this would be something I would not just buy but tell all my friends about."
"The performance actually has some heart, nice dirty sound, energy, cool little breaks here and there and great vocals. I'm a little jealous..."
"Pretty mess! I like this. Love the production...a melodic and controlled mess - just like rock should be!"
